Hester + Daniel | Saratoga Country Club | Wedding

The weather is finally turning to summer here in San Francisco and it’s not only the weather that’s heating up.
We’re turning up the heat to finish editing thousands of photos from recent weeks. We are couple of weddings behind and working like crazy to catch up.
In the meantime, here’s a great wedding we just finished. Hester and Daniel’s wedding was at Saratoga Country Club and the Cypress Hotel.
This was the Ho/Ho wedding. No kidding. Hester and Daniel have the same last name. They’re a perfect match and a lovely couple. Here are some of the highlights from their terrific wedding. Thank you, Hester and Daniel. It was a real pleasure to be there with you.

Here’s an example of how two weddings at the same location can look so different. Last year I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding that was also at Saratoga Country Club. Other than the preparations and getting ready before the wedding, the two weddings look completely different. Have a look: 2009 Saratoga Country Club Wedding

Wow. Joseph, its been a while since I enjoyed looking through a blog post this much. You’ve got some great images (is that a video light on the bride waiting in the chair?), but most of all I am impressed with how this set is cohesively beautiful. They’ll have an award worthy album.

Thanks, Joseph. We like those pictures very much! You rock it! :D

Hi Joseph!!
My heart just about stopped when I saw the 2nd dress-lacing picture. I love the small shadow in her back and the way the hands all lead the eye to the focused work.
Love the depth of field effect on the lace hem of her dress, focusing on the textural details… and the graceful curve and contrast in the composition!
Then the conga-line-series is just plain fun! It really feels like you are there!

Hi Joseph,

I shoot many weddings at the same locations and they never look the same. That is the beauty of our working in our industry, no two days are ever the same.

Absolutely love the work with the tilt shift lens. I’m finding more and more this makes for some over the top dramatic wedding photos! Very nice…
